The 2019 Show will be held on Friday 25th October (Day 1 of Equestrian Events & Schools Friday Program)
26th October - SHOW DAY including Day 2 of Equestrian Events, Sunday 27th Day 3 Harness Events 11.00am till 3.00pm.

The Maffra Show Committee strives to provide a truly Agricultural Show, also providing entertainment for the whole family throughout the day on SHOW DAY.  Activities include Chainsaw Carving, Steam Engine Display, Animal Nursery, Pet Parade, Food & Wine Court, roving entertainment and then during the night carnival, Woodchop Competition, “The Maffra Mile”, Shetland Derby and a major drawcard is The Demolition Derby, culminating with a Spectacular Fireworks Display.

We have a very extensive program for Equestrian competitors including a full 2 day program for Showjumping held on a purpose built arena which is well watered and topped with sand annually.  Other Equestrian Events including a Supreme Ridden Championship and Supreme Led Championship which are held on the Main Arena that is also well watered. The Sunday Harness events will feature the Trevor Coster memorial award.

Livestock entries are received each year for Dairy Cattle, Beef Cattle, Dairy Goats and Poultry. Individual Beef Cattle Breeds are also featured at times.

Entries in Arts & Crafts are displayed in 2 Pavilions and include open classes, secondary and primary student classes, senior citizens work and CWA.  On display will be Flowers, Floral Art, Plants, Fruit & Vegetables, Cookery (including Maffra’s Carrot Cake With a Twist), Jams, Sauces & Provisions, Beading, Handmade Cards, Painting Drawing, Graphic Design, Woodwork, Knitting, Crocheting, Scrapbooking & Photography and various VAS competitions.  With over 3,000 entries in 2017 there is certainly plenty to see and admire.
